Based on a recent Facebook question we asked our ‘fans’, it seems most of our followers already know that FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives and a positive FIV status would not dissuade them from adopting a cat they fell in love with. Clearly we have smart, savvy fans! And we need you, our educated and compassionate friends, to help us spread the word that FIV+ cats are healthy, adoptable, require no special care, can live with other cats, and are NOT likely to cost all kinds of money in vet care! Studies very clearly show that FIV is not a death sentence, yet thousands of these wonderful, healthy cats are needlessly destroyed in shelters every year simply because they tested positive for something that sounds kind of scary. Of course, we at IVCT know better and we provide shelter to many FIV+ cats and they will stay with us as long as it takes until we find them a great home. But we need your help! We need to find our FIV Ambassadors loving homes so that we can continue to take in more cats who might face death at less progressive shelters.
Will you help us help them? Will you stand up for these cats and tell the world that these cats deserve homes too?
Please print out this flyer for PJ Funny Bunny, the first of many flyers we hope to make for each of our FIV Ambassadors. Please print it out and hang it up in your community. If you don’t have a printer, come in and we will print them for you! Hang it up in hopes that you will educate just one person, you will find just one adopter who will be a hero to a cat in need. It only takes one person to change a cat’s life for the better, we simply need to find that one person. The cats and I are asking for your help to find that hero.
