If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact.

About Pickle

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Rescue ID: 17-0191
  • General Color: Gray and White
  • Current Age: 8 Years 1 Month (best estimate)

Poor Pickle was found with a peanut butter jar stuck on his head. It had been there for five days. His luck has taken a turn for the better, and now he's in our care. He's about 4 months old as of October, 2017. He's a bit shy, and a little socially awkward. He wants attention, and once you've earned his trust he will reward you with purring and head butts (and it honestly doesn't take too long to get him to warm to you). Sometimes he doesn't know how to ask for the attention he craves though. :) He's learning!

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:

  • $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year)
  • $50 - Adult (1 Year +)
  • $25 - Senior (7 Years +)
  • $0 - FIV +
  • There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...)
  • If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying.
  • We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125

While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.

If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at www.safehousepets.org/info/adoption and a volunteer will contact you promptly.
