Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact.

Dickens is about 6 years old as of September 2022. Dickens is FIV+, so he was not welcome at the shelter he came from when his person passed away. We at Safe House know an FIV positive test result is not a reason to euthanize a healthy cat! Thankfully, another organization stepped in and got him to us. They even took care of his dental, so he's ready to go! https://www.catster.com/lifestyle/cat-health-vet-study-fiv-positive-cats-living-together safehousepets.org

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:

  • $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year)
  • $50 - Adult (1 Year +)
  • $25 - Senior (7 Years +)
  • $0 - FIV +
  • There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...)
  • If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying.
  • We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125

While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.

If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at www.safehousepets.org/info/adoption and a volunteer will contact you promptly.
