Domestic Short Hair (long coat) : : Female : : Adult If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact.
Peaches is a little over 4 years old as of May, 2024. She has had quite the life and has made such progress since she initially made her way into a trap-neuter-return trap. She was visibly in poor condition and in need of medical condition. She purred and we knew she had socialization somewhere along the way; now we could even help her more! Peaches received that necessary medical attention, has gone through the recovery stage and now needs time for her condition to stabilize. She suffered from severe stomatitis and had for many years. Necessary medical treatment included the removal of all remaining teeth and that has led to significant improvements all around! She won't need those teeth; she eats well both wet and dry! Her treatment also included depo injections and those may need to be given each month along with her vet examination. It may be that the condition goes into remission and those shots will not be needed each month, yet only time can tell us that. We do know this: Peaches will have less stress in a home where she can roam free and have more love and attention than rescue allows. She's very sweet, loves pets, and toys and has lived with other cats in the colony where she was discovered. We would be willing to continue her medical expenses for the next year to better understand her long term needs and would consider a foster to adopt situation. Applications received will be reviewed and contact made if approved within 48 hours.
