New arrival! Lexi just got here off a rescue transport. Lexi found herself on the kill list at a southern IL pound when her owners abandoned her. Lexi is a Rat-Cha, designer name for Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua mix. At just around 2 yrs old, and around 16 pounds, this little girl is going to break hearts! She does very well with other dogs & cats. She most likely came from a home where her people were not very nice to her, & possibly even hit her. She is laid back upon initial meeting, but warms up in a very short time. She likes to play, likes toys, treats & rawhide or bones. She loves to give tons of kisses! She does very well on a leash, and is doing well with housetraining.
The aggressive nature of the Chihuahua breed is less common in the Rat Terrier.
The Rat-Cha will be roughly three times the size of a Chihuahua.
This designer hybrid breed loves to snuggle under covers with their owners or anywhere that will keep them warm. The Chihuahua Terrier mix loves to sleep in small spaces to feel safe and comfortable. Over all the Chihuahua Rat Terrier is a great addition to any family.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. All dogs have a $150 adoption fee.
