If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact.

Piggy here, little black kitten with silver undertones to my lush fur! I was living in some bushes - really don't remember how I got there - but then someone came and got me and took me inside. Now the chow comes regular, I get lots of love, and they say I am all 'vetted' and ready to find my forever home now! I'm about 3 months old and will be a nice, big cat when I grow up! Right now, I am the DeKalb Petco Adoption Center (2072 Sycamore Rd., DeKalb, IL). You can come there anytime to meet me! If you think you might want to adopt me, save yourself time and fill out an adoption application online at www.cattaxi.org/adopt All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Adoption fee - $50. Our cats are shown by appointment. Adoptable animals are updated daily; if the pet is listed online, he/she is available.

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:

 

  • $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year)
  • $50 - Adult (1 Year +)
  • $25 - Senior (7 Years +)
  • $0 - FIV +
  • There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...)
  • If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying.
  • We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125

While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.
